I get my first pair of Pointe shoes tomorrow! I am so excited. I'll Unlimited Clothing in Salt Lake City! If you've already been there, can you tell me if they sew your shoes? But I have some questions!
1. What should I wear?
2. How long does the installation usually take?
3. What kind of questions will they ask?
4. What will they do when my Pointe shoes are on my feet?
5. Will I get to take home with my day I go into a montage?
6. Do I have to sew it myself? (I know some cool places if you want them to sew your shoes. But is it a lie?)
7. Do's and Don'ts?
If there is anything I should know please please tell me!
Sorry for all the questions! :)

1. I would wear something comfortable, and can be sticky. They might not have Footies, and you'll be more comfortable in tights.
2. Fittings usually take a 1:00, but perhaps more.
3. They will ask you how old you are, how long you've been dancing, where you take the dance, and some questions on your feet.
4. They usually have you stand at the bar and climb on spikes in the skin. They will ask you how they feel and see how the look on your foot.
5. Usually, you take home with you when Pointe shoes you buy them.
6. I've never heard of a place sewing tips for you, but I do not know. Usually, they teach you to sew your shoes, and answer all your questions.
7. Do not let the professionals do their job. Do not tell the editor he shoes hurt in a bad way. Do not dance around the shoes when you take them home. Never put water on your shoes, wear them out, or wear them around your house without some sort of cover over them.

Well I do not live in Salt Lake City, but I can not answer some of your other questions. I am a dancer and I'm on the edge, I have been since August and I love him, you must be very happy! To install it does not really matter a whole lot what you wear, just wear normal clothes but I could not wear like jeans. I wore shorts and a T-soffee shirt. For me, the assembly has taken time. I went with my company when he was about eight girls and everyone takes some time and if you have weird feet as many of us can take forever to find the perfect pair, I think I have tried on different types like thirteen because I have one foot bigger. Then, they must understand that toe pads you need you need spacers toes, etc.. While all takes some time. Of course they ask you how you feel they will probably keep you in the apartment, then go parelell point, but you hold someone. They will ask you if you feel like you're sinking into your shoes when you go on leading edge. Yes, you get to take them home that day unless you have to order them. About sewing depending on where I guess I do not know but I would like to learn to do it yourself or ask your teacher to show you. My dance teacher made us our first pair, but they said we would do after that:) Plus you will eventually go through a pair of one month and pay for them would be expensive and sewed it pointless.Sorry is like a long answer, but I hope this helps, have fun tip!
