For 100 + mile rides, the bike / cycling clothing companies make the highest quality most durable? I read Giordana has some quality issues. What other companies make stuff that comes off too soon?
What do you know about the high end Fly / Velowear, Assos, Hincappie, Rapha ... vs. Pearl Izumi? Thank you.
All brands are good for most, long rides, I am more concerned about the quality and type of chamois leather, so the actual brand.
Any type of nylon / spandex is a good cheaper alternative to expensive brands. Spandex is particularly durable and allows sweat not stick to your body. It is a good under shirt and other accessories under.
I had some durability problems with shorts Pearl Izumi. My sister gave me a pair for my 60th birthday and I wore a hole in the inner thigh in the first 72 miles. So the guy from Pearl Izumi gave the shit when she tried to replace them.
I made several centuries with a short performance of private label and jerseys. They are comfortable, durable, and available at a good price. I use the "Ultra" shorts.

Assos cycle wear is great, but very expensive. Pearl Izumi Decsente, Castelli are pretty decent. For the record, if you start making 100 + rides, you may want to think bibs. Very comfortable!
Do not bother with the sheaf of cycling. They are for the sausage weight and tend to tear easily, are not so warm and frankly are too expensive.
With the exception of my helmet and my tools I buy all my cycling gear in surplus stores of the army. I've never had a problem of sustainability since then.
Fly / velowear clothing is quality at budget prices. They usually have leftover stock from the different teams and other custom orders for relatively cheap.
Pearl Izumi can have proper clothes to the upper range, but a large part of their budget stuff is just cheap.
I have not used Assos, Hincapie, and Rapha, but all had excellent reviews. I also think they are probably the most expensive, with the giant constantly ridiculed by Bike Snob to be ridiculously expensive.
Best for your money is probably steal.
