When in a dwelling house is located pipe caps? I write a script where I want a character (who knows these things) to be able to locate pipe caps in the plumbing of a house of ordinary residence. Is this something that appears in the normal lines (I know they are used in scaffolding and things like that)? If you need a pipe cap, would you be able to - perhaps with a wrench and a crowbar - tear some of the interior of a house (assuming you do not like the extended damage you would do)? Thank you in advance ...
If it was an old house with steel pipes then yes you will find everywhere you would a faucet. (If you're looking to do damage when he could tear the kitchen cabinets into the wall ... or a bathroom vanity) are used at the top of tubes that prevent the ringing sound of tubes you sometimes hear. They are 1 / 2 inch steel pipe caps and you would need a wrench or channel locks addition to lower it.
In fact, in new homes with copper pipes that you find in the same place for the same purpose. But the move is more difficult and challenging and reuse.
Also to be found on the traps for gas in steel.
