What does it mean when the police put a hat, as if the person had a warrant? Well if someone I know had an arrest warrant and did not deliver and now the cops came to his house and told his parents that he would "cap" now, what that mean? I thought maybe it had something to do with the community to help, but I have no idea, I can not find it on the Internet.
They probably said: "capias" is a Latin term for a command to take a person into custody.
I heard this term used when the order is for a minor.
Cape, as in capias.
