Dallas Cowboys Season Grades With the holiday season-cons to come to a conclusion after the draft, it is time to revisit the myriad of initiatives taken by the Cowboys this off-season. I'll start with free agency. To the right of the note is the duration of the contract and the amount and years.
WR - Terrell Owens - C + 3.25
It is a boom or bust signing. With A, we have one of the most powerful
offenses in the league. There is also a chance that it could destroy our team
chemistry and ruin our season. I do not think it will happen in the first year anyway.
ILB - Akin Ayodele - B + 17.5
Ayodele seems to be the ideal player to replace Nguyen. There is a large,
Physical LB who excels at stuffing the day before. He is young and still
upside but it is something of a question mark considering really Jacksonville
not even need him back.
Jason Fabini OT - - A 3/7.5
It was a great blow. We brought in a veteran tackle a good market. It
will add stability to our offense line.
OG - Kyle Kosi - B 5 / 15
The Cowboys obviously think that Kyle is on the verge of an outstanding season.
But he has not really been something special at this point. I like his signature, but I wonder if it will really be an upgrade over Larry Allen.
TE - Ryan Hannam - B-3 / 5
We needed another blocking TE, and he must feel comfortable that role. It is always
largely a player development, while Dallas is hoping that it improves on its
Performance Seattle
LB - Rocky Boiman - B 3/5
Boiman is a great special teams player who provides solid depth at LB. It
better be as good as people say it is on the cover units to the value of money.
K - Mike Vanderjagt - B 3/5.5
We certainly need a kicker, but I would have preferred one that could kick off
and has not been such a shock.
FS - Marcus Coleman - A 1/.8
I do not know if he has anything left, but if not we got a heck of a steal. Can not really complain when it is only about eight hundred thousand.
I disagreed with some of the peaks in the draft, but you can not get angry any
because they did not select "your" guy. I really liked what we have the second day. We got some great value. They place I regret not filling holes in the offensive line was, but you can fill both holes.
OLB Bobby Carpenter - A
This was an excellent choice. It is the ideal candidate for our defense. They only thing that could make this selection is better if we could have exchanged a few Return
spots and still got it.
TE Anthony Fasano - B
This choice is undoubtedly growing on me. We need another TE as we are
Use a 2 TE offense. Fasano is a blue collar player who
come and contribute immediately.
Jason Hatcher DE - C
I'm not a big fan of this peak, but I see no reason why it was made. Hatcher fantastic
athleticism for a guy his size and could really be theft. That said, ED was already one of our deepest positions, and I think we have two entries in the long term already here Canty and Britney.
WR Skyler KR / Green - B-
I like green, but it could be a little high for him. It is returns punt big, but never so much as a receiver.
Pat Watkins FS - A
I like to Watkins. It was a good player at Florida St., and he really
lot of potential. Do not be too surprised if he is our starting free safety.
NT Montavious Stanley - A +
The best selection of our projects. It is Taylor Made for the nose facing position. Not only does it provide much needed depth, but it has great potential as well. I do not see how he does it for the 6th round as good as we had in college.
