Running Socks

Running SocksRunning socks?

Any suggestions on what makes a sock for running? I just started running, and my socks sliding all around, then rub the back of my heel first. I think my shoes are ok, they are New Balance, which I heard great things about.

I'm old school, so I wear what are known as crew socks "from approximately 6" above my ankle. With socks so you never have to worry about your rubbed his heel. Now, you may not want to wear socks like that, but you can buy socks that may have an "above the ankle, and they also protect your ankle.

You can not wear socks that are below the upper edge of your shoe, and not wait to get your heels rubbed.

they sell special socks for the race ... I usually wear a small adjustment while sock ... Dri-wick material is the best .... there are also some that are two layers I have a friend who swears by them to prevent blisters ...
go to a sports store or a good running shoe store and talk to someone if you have any questions ...

First I would check my shoes again. Just because you have a good brand of shoes does not mean it's the right shoe for you. Go to a running store and have them size you correctly (you'll need a larger size if you're planning on running long distances). They may also be able to analyze your running style to allow you the right shoe. After that, the socks should be a breeze. It's pretty much a matter of personal preference (though most recommend a sock that is not made of cotton). I know people who swear by thick socks, those who swear by the double layer, and those, like me, who prefer thinner socks. It could be a trial and error, but you'll know quickly when something does not work for you.

I'm not running specific socks as they cost about $ 8-10 for a pair. I buy socks that are NOT 100% cotton. The socks are mostly cotton, but socks are running about 20% acrylic, 70% cotton, then a total of 10% other fibers. The actual operation of socks you buy more stuffing in so I only use them for the race because they are expensive and I doubt you would need extra padding to regular walking. If you go to buy real socks race I've heard the Fox River are really good. But the choice is yours entirely that if you're actually running socks or socks made of synthetic materials as above.

Make sure you lace your shoes tight, so they are not loose in the back. Socks with CoolMax or similar material will keep your feet dry and prevent friction and blisters. Another thing to do would be puttin small amount BodyGlide or Vaseline on your heels before the race to keep friction to damage your skin. Good luck.
