Shimano America

Posted on May 17, 2010.
Shimano AmericaI want to build bike shop for me touring road bike.?

I finally got through co - moving everything is ready - matings were installed, so I want top guality reliable components and be able to find parts in the EU, North America and Asia . My problem is choice of components. There are many on the market as Shimano, Campagnolo or something else. This bike will be used by long distance touring abroad. Ideas? Please help.

I think you should look locally for some bike shops and see if they look like they know what they do. They could help you get the right build for your bike.

I think both Shimano and Campagnolo do things high and low range, so it will depend on the group level that you buy.

In addition, they do not all you'll need. You'll need wheels of Nice, and seatpost, stem, handlebars that are probably not made by any of them.

it becomes a no win situation. you have a framework, but you will see that all purchases of building it is much more expensive than buying a complete bike. when you buy the group, saddle, pedals, stem and bars and so it does not make sense to build an existing framework if it is something you really really want to do.

I have Shimano ultegra. good things. a little to find the son handles up outa boring. Campy Centaur look, a good value. buy components separately yeah is expensive. you can probably tape a new bike for less.
